Camping We have a small area available for Troops wishing to camp on the property. This opportunity would allow the scouts to rest after a long day of working and learning on the farm preparing them for another day earning their horsemanship merit badge. The campsite has a large fire ring for the scouts to cook over and entertain around.
Fires Do not create more fire rings. We recommend that the scouts cook over a wood burning fire rather than using any propane. The preparing of legal documents can be costly and time-consuming. Every year the National Council reviews and updates a certain number of merit badges. There are over merit badges as of April A total of 21 merit badges 10 more than required for the Life rank must be earned for the Eagle Scout rank, including these 13 merit badges: a First Aid, b Citizenship in the Community, c Citizenship in the Nation, d Citizenship in the World, e Communication, f Cooking, g Personal Fitness, h Emergency Call the Counselor.
Get a signed merit badge application from your Scoutmaster. Get in touch with the merit badge counselor and tell him or her that you want to earn the merit badge. The counselor may ask to meet you to explain what is expected of you and to start helping you meet the requirements. This person can be another Scout, your parents or guardian, a brother or sister, a relative, or a friend.
There are more than merit badges, and any Scout, or any qualified Venturer or Sea Scout may earn any of these at any time.
