I just hope standing takedowns get a nice buff. This last patch has been very rough for grapplers in online ranked fights. That's it for now. Maybe more later tonight is what GPD just tweeted.
As an offline player, I really appreciate them making the AI seem more human by having them have improper timing with their evasions. I like this change. So far, so good. Morgan Monkman. I don't remember this in UFC 2? Leg damage should make you more susceptible to takedowns and submissions to that limb, thats it. It should not give you GA, what the. I wonder whats the big patch spoiler in the esfl gaming ps4 card. It was in UFC 2. The more damage you did to your opponents leg the easier it was to get takedowns.
It was when he added a new transtion to back sitting during one of the earlier gameplay patches. This was a long time ago. So if your giving damage to your opponents legs then it should be easier to get that takedown since your GA will be high and permanent since your opponents leg is hurt or getting beat up badly.
This is one of my favorite patch changes. Makes grappling more effective but I think it works both ways too. If Cee is spamming leg kicks and I'm checking them, he's going to have a harder time landing a takedown.
Right cause kicking someones legs makes your grappling better. I wonder how much better this will make being a counter striker? That change isnt geared to do that. It makes it so people arent mindlesly pressing forward and relying on their block to cause pressure.
I want to hear who the new fighters are and when it drops. I am hoping for Blaydes, Barnett, Zabit. People are mostly moving forward while flicking the right stick left, right or down before they throw a moving strike. Really hope that's addressed. What time does the ESFL stream start?
Is it safe to assume the spoilers from tomorrow's ESFL card will more significant than than ones from tonight? I mean if so, tomorrow would have some impressive changes as tonight's spoilers like the new evasions, AI improvements, etc are welcome.
I love this forum. This is an awesome addition. I don't mind being a sucker. Y'all gonna miss me when I'm gone though.
EAUFC3 patchspoilers -Make long term leg damage have a significant and permanent impact on grapple advantage. EAUFC3 patchspoilers. And another one! Is career mode getting some love and new venues??
Not expecting much for ultimate team that mode is a complete dismal failure! However sliders in event mode and tournament would be nice!! New ground moves especially against the cage! I'm blown away GPD,you and your guys have really outdone yourselves!!
I feel right now kinda like I did when I was a kid,my parents let us open a couple presents on Christmas Eve,and every now and then we got to open something really cool, and I would be just beyond amped the rest of the night knowing the best stuff was yet to come I dont have that problem anymore, thanks to getting old! I have to say i'm impressed so far. That new evasive move is really interesting!
Does the GA from hurting someones leg also work once we hit the ground or is it standing only? You'll be happy if one of them makes it? You can start warming up that smile. A quarter smile, but still a smile. I think it will probably be O'Malley as he came in first amongst the new stars, excluding Emmett. Now it takes skill to close distance. Can we get submission attempts back in the post fight totals please?? The work you devs do shows your tireless effort and your absolute dedication to the game and to the community.
Thank you. About the new Transition slider changes. What setting would best replicate the old maximum setting? I found the old max setting would make TDs much harder to deny, but denials and everything else weren't too much quicker.
Whereas now, with the AI transition speed maxed, I can't deny a transition to save my life, the window is just too small. I had the game in a pretty good place slider wise pre-patch but this has put me out of whack. I want TDs to be quite hard to stuff and the ground game to be harder but fair basically, which the old setting provided. Also, is the AI programmed to try and use the new auto TDs? I haven't had it hit one yet on pro. D: Sent from my iPhone using Operation Sports.
I'm honestly really struggling with this stand up game. It doesn't make any sense to me I feel like I'm losing to people I never have before because I can't figure out a way to punish them. I just had a guy throw punches in one round mostly spam and nothing would work to stop it.
I couldn't even slip it for some reason.. Everything seems to have slowed down and stamina seems to not matter even more than before somehow. I'm lost.. Dude it happens Currently taking a break. Just go to practice and lab it. All the best. Yeah get that first significant strike and don't chase them I tried getting the new takedowns with khabib Anyways will try later.
Good one from the devs adding a random fighter pick option I would like to see MM , and all the other prominent fighters use this. But I don't know if it's available for online tho.
Random fighter selection is useless thanks for that. Make it a silhouette of generic fighter picture that is the same for everyone or make it a questionmark. Is anybody doing any thing special that they didn't before? Because all my matches online are playing out just like before So what am I missing? It's frustrating seeing the same redundant fighting styles used online still.
I'm really impressed by how much work you guys do in the post-release of these games, I'm enjoying this patch, looking forward to the next. That head movement bullcrap is still going on, every time you go for a combo the guy can just rotate the stick randomly and all is avoided. Even I tried it in the same fight, works like a charm. With all those changes like ref stoppages and the new animations, isn't it just better to release the game a little later instead of releasing a unfinished product?
I just say it again and again. Stamina is broken. The amount of sig strikes that can be thrown is ridiculous. Aaaaaand those strikes don't decrease in force with low stamina. The overhands and hooks are head seeking rockets. Fix it already!!! It stinks! This is what happens when you buy a sports game at release. There isnt a single sports game that has been released that has been better or even equal at release than it is after a few months of patches.
I think the patch is great so far. Obviously, there are still things to be fixed, but overall yet another step in the right direction. I love the ability we now have to fight at range. And the ground game has seen an immense improvement. Also for all you guys that play lots of ranked, try out playing offline with the CPU its very fun esp since they do fakes now. I understand nerfing the range of the 1 to rear body straight but all of the body punches too?
This is a head scratcher to me like why not? Maybe it was an oversight? That's not a very good justification for releasing an unfinished game. I'd much rather my hands on a game when we did, even it's its "unfinished", than to have had to wait until June for the game as it is now.
I know that you can expect a lot of post game patches and whatnot with sports games. And in a way it's great that we get so much stuff added to the game, however I probably won't buy the next game on release. I think Flacco is right, this is probably a lot better offline. I'm not seeing much improved online. The Cpu will pace themselves at least, because online, nobody paces themselves because they don't have to, there's no real stamina penalty, there's still not a good way to threaten for a TD on aggressive fighters like it should be, so why not just fight an inch away from one another.
I gotta just stick with offline for a while until some thing is done with the boring phone booth fighting online. So what do you guys want? Compensation for a product you didn't feel was finished or that you didn't like at release?
Do you understand terms and conditions of purchases? Feel free to read those and let me know if you have any questions. What you call "unfinished" isnt universal. I dont believe the game was unfinished. I love all the new animations that they have added post release but I wouldve been fine with the game with just the bug fixes and balance adjustments. I dont consider not having ref interactions as proof that the game was unfinished or not having auto takedowns.
I guess I'm a realist. If I buy a game at release, I accept that there will be some bugs and balance issues. I also do some homework. Nothing was hidden about this game or most sports games. If I'm concerned that there may be missing features or issues with the game, I watch streams or read reviews or read the impressions on the forums.
I streamed the game for 5 hrs a week before release. So did others. People knew what they were getting. Would it have been nice if EA was able to get all of these features in at release? But the game was what it was at release and people still spent money to buy it. Some of that responsibility falls on the consumer. I think the game was actually better 2 patches ago. It felt more fluid in general but especially the head movement. Ducking was a bit OP but it was ok otherwise I thought.
Now it's all the same block breaking combos over and over or just alternating between that's and leg kicks when people try to use head movement to stop their block being broken.

Bigg Cee. Every fight now people are still bobbing and weaving around the octagon. What about the ducking uppercut spam? Still there I believe. I need more time to test the changes, but it appears the game is much more "competitive" and fair right now:cool:. I've had 4 fights in ranked lost all 4 but its way more fun. Seems like sway counters aren't nearly as deadly seen more people leaning back but thats fine.
So far its way more enjoyable at least for me:y It still feels soooo much better. Opponent Diaz pressuring me hurting me to the body draining my stamina and this and that but his head movement and pressure striking drained the stamina down for him aswell so that it was always on par with my counter style stamina.
I was also able to punish him way better for his mistakes. The new back lunging is way better too. Lost my 3rd fight against a combo spammer but I did a lot of mistakes in that fight. I still think it's way better now. But combo spam needs a higher tax imo. Romero can't fire combo after combo for 3 rounds. Match 4 was a quick ground tko my opponent wasn't a good player. Game is more fun now. Thanks a lot. Do forward moving strikes cost more stamina seems like it drains more?
Back lunge is way better but still think it cost 2 much stamina compared to moving head movement. Well guess it's better Take them to the later rounds.
It needs some tuning I agree but it's way easier now to take them to deep waters. I dont want to spam posts but I was most of the time upset with the game and I give credit where credit is due. It's better. Go try it out. Its better but there still needs to be more tax on long term stamina for throwing these hundreds of strikes per round.
Just combo after combo and no realostic long term stamina tax. They come out with nearly the same stamina as me who isnt spamming. I feel like with all the people complaining about combo spam me included that should be next on the list. So hyped for more changes now that the game is finally working better. Can say the game does run better. I can see a bit of difference when people sway after sway then just throw hits.
Seems as if their stamina runs out a bit faster. I could even go for a tad bit higher tax stamina hit.
And of course as I've been saying when they get hit swaying they get a big damage bonus towards them. Excited for the tuner set later today. On the strikes and stamina concern. It's a game. Stamina is more than punishing enough. Being tired is one thing, but literally turning into a zombie is another. They made an awesome Walking Dead game already. Also this should apply to body kicks. Someone ducking down into a body kick should riskier, often they connect on the knee by accident.
My strategie was let opponent strike and see what he does to react later. Now my Block is gone after 2 minutes, opponent trow triple hock to weak my block the first 2 mn and jab high kick after and i cant block anymore.. I dont see that in the patch. I miss something? I think something like I don't feel like counting. No moveset updates, but awesome making the back dash more effective.
Pull counters are all but gone, hope it brings them back. Add a damage multiplier when a strike redirects from body to head, making ducking into a knee more damaging Amazing I suggested that. Nice work. This just happened after I've catched my first body knee. All these guys swaying like crazy and getting knocked out The games so much more fun after this patch im like today maybe worse and im actually having fun.
Some guy just called me hook spammer in ranked. Sadly id have to agree im not even doin it intentionally but to throw a fast combo u kinda have to. This combo system encourages button mashing. It wouldn't be that bad but the faster u hit buttons the faster the combo. So why wouldn't you just smash the buttons as fast as u can theres no downside.
I can live with them but i think the game would be more strategic if the combo system was diffrent. How do people throw hooks so fast? Is it a hard combo thing or fast input thing? Srsly the only thing that is still bothering me now is the combo spam. NOT long term stamina though. That isnt punishing enough. Guy throws combo after combo all round and comes out with pretty much same stamina as me in the next round lol.
Then throw back or make him miss. Try using Johny Hendricks or Chad Laprise and see how it feels. The point is, if you nerf stamina anymore, the rest of the roster becomes worthless.
And the game already turns into something not UFC with the performance at low stamina Drunk bum fights. No more stamina tax, please.
Well the player decides if they end up moving like a drunk bum or not. I play realistically, so I can do fine on stamina with a Hendricks or Laprise. You probably were one of those that didnt want low stamina fighters to have slower movement and animations too? The immediate skip intro UFC white screen of loading death is still present on xbox.
Did they fix the commentary bug, always acting as if your the challenger intead of champion when defending the title??? Your projecting, no. I play realistic myself and the amount of times Ive turned Holloway or any other top tier fighters into a worthless drunk bum is countless. What happens at low stamina in game is not realistic. I like everything about this patch. And on that note Count me as someone who likes the new patch thus far. Well done. Can someone post a GIF of the new back lunge animation?
The patch definitely Great however I still noticed that the AI still has the leg kick check glitch when stunned or knockdown it still has an invisible leg check while standing up, I recall Skynet talking about it will be addressed in a future patch did it slip through the cracks or cannot be fixed?? Sent from my iPhone using Operation Sports. The only other thing I can think of now is increasing the vulnerability of head movement so it's as deadly as lunging. Its just the moving sways and ducks maybe just bigger stamina tax on them?
